ICAA WEB SITE ADDITIONS AND PASSWORDS:

Two new additions have been made to the ICAA web site: (1) a linked version of the new (revised and renumbered) Iowa Rules of Criminal Procedure, effective February 15, 2002 and (2) a page from which several PowerPoint examples can be viewed and downloaded.

The PowerPoint site is
password-protected for use by Iowa County Attorneys and their Assistants only.  Many of you previously signed up and obtained authorized user names and passwords.  A notice went out on December 27, to those who previously signed up, and was sent to the email address listed when the user signed up.

If you have not obtained a user name and password to access all areas of the ICAA web site, you must submit your application online by clicking on the "Requires a password" directions on the bottom of the web site's first page, www.iowa-icaa.com. When your status as a County Attorney or Assistant County Attorney has been verified, you will be sent a notice of authorization and the entire site will be open to you upon entry of your user name and password.

Web Site of the Month

www.goodhue.org

This month's featured web site is that put together by John D. Goodhue, a patent attorney with the firm of McKee, Voorhees, & Sease, P.L.C..  John was an extremely productive intern for PATC for two years and co-authored the recently-published ABA-Law Practice Management Section book, Persuasive Computer Presentations, an Essential Guide for Lawyers, along with Ann Brenden.  John's web site contains links to Iowa and Federal web sites that provide opinions and other resources, as well as links to lesser-known resources such as an Ethics site, CLE sites, Medical research sites, Expert witness finders, People finders, Law review sites, Law library sites, Legal news, General search engines, and references to Martindale-Hubbell as well as the Blue Book (Introduction to Basic Legal Citation).  It's a good one!
